Hey everyone!

In this lesson, we’re going to get picky about our picks! There are so many kinds, and to help you figure it all out, I’ve broken it down.

There are 3 main variables when it comes to choosing a guitar pick:

1) Thickness
2) Size/shape
3) Material (tone, durability, feel)

For beginners, I recommend a thinner pick, standard size/shape, made of nylon, cellulose or delrin.

If you want to play some leads, I recommend the same pick I use. Dunlop Tortex .88mm (the green ones). I like the powdery feel, they’re thick enough to have control when playing leads and thin enough to get a nice, bright strumming sound.
