Hey everyone! This week we have a popular poppy tune for you all – “It Ain’t Me” by Kygo, Featuring Selena Gomez.

This one uses some pretty simple chord shapes but is jam-packed with various rhythm parts. We start off with the fingerstyle intro, exactly as it’s played on the original recording. Then we do a breakdown for the pre-chorus (1 strum on each chord) and finally some strumming for the chorus.

The chords used are C, G, Em, D, Dsus4, D#dim. Also, there’s a capo at the 5th fret.

This one can be a bit tricky, so we’ve included an easier strumming pattern in case you’re looking for that (the actual one used in the song is VERY challenging).

I hope you enjoy the lesson and we’ll be back next week with a classic tune from the 70’s!

Enjoy!
James
