I went through thousands of popular tunes and picked just 15, arranged so each one is barely a step up from the last. You are not jumping around learning random songs – there is a method, and that order is what turns a pile of tunes into a real path.
Start With Two Chords
The journey begins with a simple two-chord song that I have shown people on their very first day – and they can usually play it that same day. Even here we learn something musical: instead of stiff, even down strokes, you emphasize certain beats – little, big, little, big – and suddenly it sounds like real strumming rather than an exercise.
Each Song Adds One New Skill
From there, every song sneaks in a single upgrade. One teaches you to count how long you hold each chord. Another builds your sense of form – knowing where you are in the song, which is a hugely underrated form of ear training. Later tunes add 3/4 time, an easy version of the F chord, a B7 pivot, simple basslines and even switching chords in the middle of a strum.
