Hello friends!

Today I have a holiday classic to share with you all: Feliz Navidad, by Jose Feliciano. This is a classic Christmas song that is also very easy to play! It’s mainly just 3 chords and a little bit of holiday cheer 🙂

Throughout the lesson, I mention my free eBook, covering all the basics of rhythm guitar. If you need any help at all with the basics, we’ve got you covered! It’s FREE to all of our subscribers. You can find it here: https://goodguitarist.com/learn-rhythm-guitar/

Also, if you need help with the Bm barre chord (which is optional, btw) I have a mini-series covering all the must-know’s about barre chords. Here’s a link: https://goodguitarist.com/basic-barre-chords/

The song uses 3 chords primarily: D, G and A. We spend a couple moments going over them and how to switch between them in an efficient way. Then we practice playing them in order, using downstrokes only.

After that, we take a look at the strumming pattern. I break it down and help with the motions before we play it along with the chords.

Next week check out that Bm barre chord and talk about some strategies surrounding it, before learning the chorus. That’s followed by the intro (which is very, very simple) and that’s it!

I’m hoping I can make a handful of holiday songs over the next couple of weeks so keep checking back!

See you soon!
-James
