Chapter 1

  • Added “How to Listen to a Song” – the very first lesson, teaching you how active listening can amplify your improvement.
  • Added a simple song lesson early on to boost motivation and reinforce basics.
  • Re-filmed Anatomy of the Guitar – clearer and more descriptive.
  • Added Pick vs. Finger Strumming lesson (so finger-strummers aren’t left out).
  • Re-shot Tuning with a Tuner and Tuning by Ear with clearer visuals.
  • Added Tuning with a Phone App (because it’s 2025 😅).

Chapter 2

  • Restructured chord combos: moved the tougher C → Fmaj7 combo to later in the chapter.
  • Added new combo Em → C, letting you play Eleanor Rigby early on.
  • Expanded song suggestions with walkthrough videos + my new Song Finder tool.
  • Added “Cool Things You Can Do With This Chord” mini-lessons (like simple fingerstyle riffs for variety and fun).

Chapter 3 (Biggest Overhaul)

  • Completely rebuilt the rhythm section:
    • Now you clap a rhythm and then strum that exact rhythm.
    • Much clearer path to internalizing useful strumming patterns.
  • Added song suggestions for each strumming pattern.
  • Expanded strumming patterns overall.
  • Upgraded foot-tapping from a single lesson → full 4-lesson series.
  • This chapter is now a true rhythm bootcamp, aimed at helping you break through the #1 roadblock most beginners face.

Chapter 4

  • Updated song recommendations.
  • Added my easiest F chord lesson.
  • Added lessons on switching to/from F.

Chapter 5

  • Added Chord Progression Practice lessons that combine chord changes with strumming patterns.
  • Planned update: re-filming How to Read a Chord Chart with iPad visuals for a cleaner, clearer presentation.

Chapter 6

  • No changes (was recently added and still up to date).

Overall Changes

  • Complete Lesson Restructure
    • Old system: sequential numbering across the whole course (e.g. Chapter 1 = Lessons 1–8, Chapter 2 = Lessons 9–20, etc.).
    • New system: numbering resets in each chapter (Lesson 1, Lesson 2, etc.), just like my other courses.
    • This makes it easier to match the workbook and allows me to add new lessons in the future without renumbering everything.

✅ That’s the full rundown. Everything has been updated with clearer teaching, modern tools, and more songs to keep you motivated. The workbook update is coming very soon—hang tight!
