Hey everyone, in this lesson I’m going to teach you how to play “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift. The chords are quite simple, but the strumming pattern is definitely going to take some work!

The lesson starts with the chord shapes: C, G and Am. They’re all pretty basic. After that, we play through them, in order, using downstrokes only.
Next up is the strumming pattern. This one is different because it changes throughout the progression. We go over it in depth and spend a lot of time working out all the little bits and pieces before putting it all together.
That’s all there is to it… remember to practice each bit and put it all together when you’re ready 🙂
