In this lesson we’ll show you how to play the main riff from “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne (Randy Rhoads on guitar).

For such a cool sounding riff, it’s incredibly simple and a great place to start if you’re just getting into this kind of thing. Believe it or not, but this is actually the second or third thing I ever learned how to play on guitar!

We start out by breaking down the riff into smaller pieces and give you some tips on how to get it all together. Then we add some finishing touches, teaching you how to perform a rippin’ “pick scrape” and then how to transition from the riff into the rhythm guitar part.

We’re saving the rhythm part for another lesson, so this one’s nice and simple. If you are interested in learning the rest of the tune, let us know: [email protected]
