Hey everyone,

In this lesson, we’re going to talk about the differences between going for real-life Lincoln Guitar Lessons versus learning through online tutorials. Some learners prefer to take lessons in person whereas others prefer the dynamic of online lessons. If you’re wanting to start lessons then it’s important to know which you will prefer so you can learn to the best of your ability. Those of you in Lincoln could visit this lincoln music store, as they offer learners a variety of options when it comes to instructors. As well as a selection of guitar instructors, they have instructors for other string instruments, woodwind instruments and keyboards. This would be a great option for those learners who require direct tutoring. Other learners prefer to learn on their own through the use of online tutorials. These differences should help you decide which one you are.

At the end of the video, I mention my beginner’s guitar course. It’s great on its own and also as a supplement to a guitar teacher. If you want to finally buckle down and master the basics (while helping support me) you can check it out here:

We discuss it from several angles and here’s a quick summary of what we end up with:

Guitar Teacher
+ Direct Feedback (teacher can watch you play)
+ Customized experience (teacher helps you find what to do next)
+ Motivational tool (a teacher will keep you accountable)
– If you don’t practice, you’re spending money with zero results
– It might take a while to find the right teacher or it might be hard to find one near you

Learning Online
+ Being self-taught forces you to learn (sink-or-swim)
+ Once you find something that works, you can watch it over and over
+ If you can motivate yourself, it’s very affordable
– No feedback (the video doesn’t watch you!)
