Hey everybody! In today’s lesson I’m going to show you how to play “Closing Time” by Semisonic. This song is a classic 90’s tune and we’re going to be using the most classic 90’s chord shape to play it! It’s called a power chord and all we have to do is move it around the fretboard and do a little bit of strumming and that’ll get you through the entire song from start to finish!

IF YOU NEED REAL HELP WITH BARRE CHORDS, I have a solution: it’s a step-by-step course that takes you from the easiest exercise, all the way to being able to play barre chords in any key (any song!).
Visit the following page for more information: https://goodguitarist.com/barre-chords/

If you want to take it a step further I’m also going to show you how to change the power chord shape into full bar chords. And for those of you who just want to learn how to strum it in a simple way, we’re also going to cover this song using basic chords and strumming pattern.

So we’re going to learn it in three different ways, depending on how you want to learn it, and along the way I’m going to show you everything you need to play this song effectively.

I hope you enjoy the lesson. See you soon!
